Firefighting is a service that demands strength, but behind the daily selfless acts many fight through unseen struggles—depression, PTSD, suicidal thoughts, or other mental health challenges. Too often, these experiences remain in the shadows.
We believe that stories of resilience can be a light for others. By sharing your experience—whether it’s about reaching out for help, finding support, or discovering strength—you can help fellow firefighters know they are not alone. Your voice can inspire hope, break stigma, and encourage departments to build stronger systems of care.
- We are collecting these stories for a book that will serve as a resource for firefighters everywhere, showing that healing and success are possible.
- You may choose to answer the guiding questions provided, or simply write in your own words. After submission, we will reach out to you for follow-up.
- Your story matters. Your journey could be the lifeline someone else needs.
